WARNING – Potential Issues with OFP Funding
Over the past month or two many traders have been reporting unjust payout denials, especially for amounts over $5,000. My latest payout has also been denied in the amount of $4,000, stating “gambling approach” despite an average risk of under 1%, a 1:1.2 RRR, a stop loss on all trades, a static lot size of 6 and never exceeding 1:5 leverage/5% of available margin.
It is possible OFP are having liquidity issues due to their recent price drop, causing them to resort to denying payouts. If you have been affected by this, please reach out to Tony@Proptraders.club.
Welcome to part two of my review/experience with OFP Funding. I have now been trading with OFP for a total of one month and I have just received my first payout. In this post, I will update readers on my journey and how I have found OFP so far.
For those who missed it, you can read part 1 here which covers purchasing the account and my initial thoughts on their offering. For anyone looking to trade with OFP, I recommend giving it a read as I take a deep dive into the rules of the firm.

Current Account Progress – First payout secured and funding increased
To receive a payout with OFP you must achieve an inconsistency score below that of which you chose at time of purchase. This ranges from 12% to 25% and depends on which drawdown you choose and payout frequency. For my first account, I opted for the easiest option of 25% (monthly payout and 5/10% drawdowns).
I managed to bring my score within the range in the first week whilst also achieving 5% profit on the account. Since I had three weeks left to payout date I took fewer trades as I wanted to secure a payout. Unfortunately, in this time my profit dropped slightly to ~3.8%.
My profit on the account was $938 and I had chosen the 60% profit split option which gave me a final payout of $562.88.
On my pay date, I received an email from the payments team who set up my rise and confirmed my payout. My payout was requested on 13th November and the payment hit my account 3 days later on 16th November.
Overall, I am happy with OFP Funding and have decided to increase my funding with them. I had purchased another $25k account during their Halloween promotion and I am also picking up another $25k account with the promotion mentioned in this email. This will bring my total funding with this firm to $75k.
Plan Moving Forward – Next Payout Target of $2,000
Now I have a good understanding of the rules and have confidence in my strategy, it’s time to scale up. I’ve added a further $50k of funding which will provide more room for growth.
I will continue to trade the first account as I have and aim for 5% profit over the month.
My second $25k account is up around 2.5% and I’m aiming for 10% profit within the month which will result in a $2,000 payout ($2,500 x 80%).
My third account benefits from the double payout promotion up to the value of $500. Therefore, I am planning to trade this one slightly more conservatively to secure the extra payout. I am aiming for a profit of 3% on this account which will result in a payout of $1100 ($600 base profit share + $500 bonus).
The Benefits of Trading with OFP Funding
I touched on this point briefly in part 1 of the review, but I have found the rules set by OFP improve my trading and reduce stress related to trading.
The inconsistency rule prevents overtrading, revenge trading and other negative pitfalls many traders fall into. I can happily place one or two trades a day with this account and simply set and forget. The other rules also promote good risk management, such as the lot-size rule.
It’s also worth noting, the price of these accounts are substantially lower than other instant funding accounts. OFP can provide this heavy discount due to the extra rules such as the inconsistency score.
For example:
- A $10k instant funding account at instantfunding.io will cost $440.
- A similar $10k instant funding account at OFP will cost just $166.
Progress Update January 3rd 2025 – $2,000 Goal achieved
I received a payout on the 3rd of January for the month of trading in December. The payout was from my $100k account which I purchased in their winter promo.
The markets were in my favor for the first week of the account and I managed to get 5 profitable days back to back. I then stopped trading the account and waited for the payout date.
During this time, I also fell into drawdown in two of my other accounts, which are sitting at -4% and -1.5% for my $25k and $50k accounts, respectively. My second $25k account is still going strong, however, and sitting at just over 6% profit and nearly at the required consistency score.
Overall, i’m pleased with my progress at OFP and have set myself a target of $3,000 to be withdrawn by the start of February.
Progress Update January 26th 2025 – Another Payout Secured
It’s been a mixed few weeks. My two $25k accounts which I use to day trade USD/JYP yen haven’t done so well, but they are still alive and kicking. One is in ~5% drawdown while the other is up one or two percent (down from its high of 6%).
On the flipside, my $50k and $100k accounts which I have been scalping USOIL on have been doing great.
The $100k account is up $2,100 on top of the previous payout received. The inconsistency score is 47% with a max profitable day of $990. Two solid days should bring this account to the payout level.
The $50k account is now ready for payout with a balance of $53,600 which should secure a profit split of $2,880, my largest yet with this firm.
Both accounts payout day is at the end of the month, so I will update accordingly then.
Progress Update February 18th – $3,000 Payout Goal Achieved
In an earlier update I set myself a goal of a $3,000 payout, which I have now achieved in my latest payout. This brings my total payouts to just over $6k and my original four accounts are all still active.
I’ve focused most of my trading now primarily on USOIL as the conditions on Tradelocker are quite favorable. I’ve continued to stick to USD/JPY on my Ctrader account however.
The growth on my $100k account is now at 7% and I’m one profitable day away from another payout which this time should hit around $4,000.
It’s worth noting that OFP have made a couple updates over the past few weeks:
- They now offer accounts with up to 95% profit share, which are priced just slightly above the 80% versions.
- They currently have a promotion running which provides a bundle of accounts at a discounted price.
I’ll make another update after receiving my next payout with OFP.
