The world of prop trading is ever evolving and traders need to stay up to date with industry developments. Whilst Twitter/X and other socials are a quick and easy way to get these updates, it can be a struggle isolating quality content.
That’s why newsletters from reputable professionals can be invaluable for traders within this space. In this article, I’m going to go over five useful newsletters which I read regularly. These cover a range of topics including:
- Prop Firm News and Updates
- Technical and Fundamental Analysis
- Trading Psychology
- Discounts and Promotions
In no particular order, here is my list:
5. Mind Over Markets – by Sanjeev Sangar
Frequency: Weekly (Before Market Open)
Sanjeev Sangar is a performance coach for the large Asian-based prop firm, FundedNext. Each week he sends a newsletter which provides insights and tips to improve your trading psychology. For an idea into topics, here is his last 5 email headlines:

4. The Chart Report – by Patrick Dunuwila
Frequency: Daily
The Chart Report is an interesting concept in which Patrick and his team source trade ideas, set-ups, trade analysis and other useful content from social media.
Each email is packed with trade ideas and charts with a strong focus on technical analysis. There is also a market summary which is useful to get a quick overview of what’s happened in the markets in the last 24 hours.
They offer a premium version which includes a deeper and more in-depth daily report. However, the free version still contains some great insights which can be very useful.

3. Prop Traders Club Newsletter/Updates – by Tony Williamson
Frequency: One to Three per Week
I keep my audience up to date with all things Prop Traders Club related as well as my other ventures via email. By signing up you can expect to receive:
- News, reviews and promotions from partnered, vetted prop firms.
- Updates regarding Castle Trading League, a unique competition style platform due for launch in early 2025.

2. Prop Traders Weekly – by Kieran Gohil
Frequency: Weekly (Mondays)
Kieran Gohil brings extensive knowledge of the prop trading industry, drawing from his experience both as a trader and running a prop firm. Kieran has developed innovative tools and resources for prop traders including Payout Junction, a platform that tracks prop firm payouts using blockchain technology. This tool has gained popularity on social media and is now widely used by prop firm reviewers and traders alike.
Each week, Kieran sends out a newsletter that provides an overview of prop firm payouts, industry news, and his macroeconomic insights for the week. It’s an invaluable resource for any prop trader, and you can sign up on his site: Proptraders.io.
1. Before the Opening Bell – by Michael Katz
Frequency: Weekly (Before Market Open)
Michael Katz is the CEO of the popular stock trading prop firm, Trade the Pool (sister company of The 5%es). As an avid trader and leader of a prop firm, Michaels newsletter, Before the Opening Bell, provides some fantastic insights into the markets.
